Youth Ensemble & now has come back as the writer/director of their latest production, "New York, New Year," which tells the story of "Tess" who moves to NYC in the middle of the school year from her hometown of Missouri & wonders how she will fit in. Call Answered: As much as I love theatre, it's always a thrill when I get a request to interview someone in another medium. Now I get to interview rising filmmaker Kerstin Karlhuber. When I read the film was about a young man who returns to his family farm, after a long stay in ex-gay conversion therapy, I knew I had to talk more with Kerstin. "Fair Haven" will be released 3/3 in LA & VOD/DVD 3/7!
Call Answered: I love a good psycho thriller, but there aren't many musical psycho thrillers, so I was quite intrigued when I found out about "Interview," a new psycho musical thriller, produced and directed by Dimo Hyun Jun Kim. In "Interview," a seemingly innocuous job interview for a writer’s apprentice quickly turns sinister when the true motives of the interviewee, "Matt," are revealed. "Interview" will play at the Theatre at St. Clement's thru 3/5!
Call Answered: I have known about Peter Michael Marino for some time now, but it was with his direction of Amy Marcs' "Nice T!ts" that I got to know Peter. In his newest project "Show Up," Peter uses his solo performance expertise to compile/transform the real-life experiences of the audience into a single vibrant life-story. Audience members are engaged to cue lights, design the set, & direct. "Show Up" will play the PIT Loft Thursdays, 2/2, 2/9, 2/16, 2/23 & Saturday 2/12!

When I heard "Autumn Lights" was filmed in Iceland during their longest daylight season, I felt an instant connection. "Autumn Lights" is about an American photographer in Iceland who becomes entangled with an enigmatic European couple. I had the pleasure of interviewing the film's lead actor Guy Kent. "Autumn Lights" will have a limited released starting 10/21, including NYC's Cinema Village East!

Fast forward to Andy's film "Words," an incredibly inspiring film about stuttering, poetry, & achieving your dreams! Call Answered: It's always exciting when somebody contacts me on social media about an interview. That's how I found out about playwright Paul Hufker. He came on my radar after Tweeting at me. Paul's latest play, "Snowed In: An Imaging" is a fictional take on what it would be like if former CIA employee/government contractor Edward Snowden were to be trapped in a Russian airport. "Snowed In" will have a reading at Dixon Place in NYC on Monday, December 21 at 7:30pm!

When Full Spectrum Theatre Company's Suzie Cho (Artistic Director) and Ashley Ford (Associate Artistic Director) reached out to me about doing a new interview with Maria about directing the David Lindsay-Abaire's Pulitzer Prize winning play the "Rabbit Hole," I treaded into the darkness to get the inside scoop on this production which will be presented from October 7-24 at The Davenport Theatre in NYC!

For it was there I got my start in theatre, met Stockard Channing and Felicity Huffman and worked with some of the greatest people! Whenever I come across someone who studied or worked there, I feel a small connection to them. When Penny Landau of MayaPR suggested I talk to Monika Gossmann, director of the new play STRIPPED, I knew I had to reveal the bare bones of this show's creation. STRIPPED is a familiar yet strikingly modern and achingly realistic story of a relationship between a man and a woman navigating love in their early thirties. This is not going to be your average love story. STRIPPED plays at The Tank Theater through September 20!
