Call Answered: I love "The Golden Girls!" I am thrilled "RuPaul's Drag Race" Season 5 favorite, Alaska, & I got to fly to Miami, eat cheesecake, & discuss her upcoming show "On Golden Girls." This show takes you on a musical journey of story & song, exploring the songs featured within the seven seasons of the hit TV classic, while Alaska & her sidekick Handsome Jeremy offer their own unique analysis on all things Golden. "On Golden Girls" plays The Laurie Beechman Theatre 8/3-8/13!
Call Redialed: I have been a fan of Martha Wash for a long, long time. From "It's Raining Men" to to "Strike It Up." It's an honor to interview Martha again as she gets ready to show us her acting chops in "I Want to Eat Brains (or the Day I Killed All My Friends)," as part of the Fresh Grind Festival, a festival of public staged readings. A musical parody about a zombie apocalypse, "I Want to Eat Brains (or the Day I Killed My Friends)" will play at Theaterlab on Friday, 1/20 at 8pm!
Call Answered: Lady Bunny is a living legend! In what is probably one of my raciest interviews to date, Lady Bunny and I definitely take things to a new level! We dish about her new one-woman show "Trans-Jester!," her drag festival Wigstock, working with RuPaul, being a judge on "Drag U," and a revelation that will make a lot of jaws drop! "Trans-Jester!," a blend of Lady Bunny's raucous, irreverent comedy, plays a month long residency at the Stonewall Inn through October 1!

Call Answered: BenDeLaCreme: BenDeLaCreme's Inferno A-Go-Go at The Laurie Beechman Theatre

Call Answered: As a life long RuPaul fan, I was super excited to get the opportunity to interview another "RuPaul's Drag Race" favorite, Season Six's BenDeLaCreme whose new show, "BenDeLaCreme's Inferno A-Go-Go" will be making it's debut at The Laurie Beechman Theatre in NYC from July 28-August 19. In this show, BenDeLaCreme seeks to answer that age old question: What the Hell? Turning her gay gaze toward "Dante’s Inferno," this rollicking romp through nine circles of fire & fun is equal parts brimstone & rhinestones.
Call Answered: RuPaul has been a big influence in my life. Like everyone else, I loved "Supermodel," but it was his book "Lettin It All Hang Out" that really made me love RuPaul! When I had the chance to interview Latrice Royale from Season 4 of "RuPaul's Drag Race," I jumped at this opportunity. She's about to release her debut album and one-woman show "Here's To Life," about growing up gay in Compton, events leading up to her "unfortunate incarceration," and her infectious, ever-positive perspective at The Laurie Beechman Theatre March 17-20 (which is SOLD OUT) and May 12-15!
